Competition Dates:

Quarter Finals of both Competitions to be played on/before Wednesday 10th January 2007.

Semi Finals to be played on/before Wednesday 17th January 2007.

Final to be played on/before Wednesday 24th January 2007.

Barry Cup (Senior B)

The notion of a Cup for ‘B’ players to be re-emphasised.
A genuine attempt be made to maximise the numbers of u/18 players, rather than u/17 players.
Each competing school shall submit a panel of eligible players to the Competition Co-ordinator by 8th January of the relevant year. This panel may be circulated to all the competing schools on request. These panels should not include regular ‘A’ team players but may include “fringe” players up to a maximum of 2.
Objections to any player, panelled for Barry Cup, can be made to the competition co-ordinator.
Schools with special problems with numbers may apply and be granted permission to play players from their Bowen Shield Squad. Such applications must be made to the competition co-ordinator and ratified by the F.E.C.

Players who are deemed ineligible:

Because of the change in age dates at interprovincial level, the following restrictions will apply for the year.

Players who toured with the Munster Schools Squad.
Players who were included in the Munster Squad for Interprovincial series
Players who played Senior Cup in the previous year.
None of the above restrictions will apply to ‘B’ schools which enter this competition.
